About the Trainer:

Susan Mullen Photography
I have had the pleasure of having dogs as part of my family my entire life. Currently my family includes 4 dogs and 4 birds. In 2002 I began fostering homeless dogs and training them for their new homes. It is then I realized far too many dogs are in shelters for trainable "behavior problems". I decided to study with the Animal Behavior College to become a certified pet dog trainer.

I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and ascribe to their philosophy that dog-friendly training is the precursor for life-long companionship in a relationship based on trust and respect.

I continue to update my skills and learn new training methods through seminars and workshops conducted by certified trainers, animal behaviorists, and veterinarians.

In addition to training dogs and working at an animal shelter, I am also a member of the Best Friends Network, the ASPCA, and the Doris Day Animal League.
